What is PER?

Player Efficiency Rating (PER) measures overall per-minute efficiency. It adds up positive contributions (made shots, free throws, threes, assists, rebounds, blocks, steals) and subtracts negative ones (misses, turnovers, fouls). The league average is set to 15.00 every season.

PER = uPER × (15 / league-average uPER)
